The decisions have been made, the logo chosen and the new look website for Jardin launched.
This morning, I posted details on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook and the responses have been very positive – my favourite Comments have been :
“Fresh, clean, vibrant – and a bit retro!”
“Crisp and colourful”
“Delicate, strong and inviting”
“.. feasting my eyes on your new look website”
The lovely Rebecca Pitt , very professional, patient and prompt, designed the logo
And the fabulous Pádraic MacOireachtaigh, encouraged me through all the technical decisions and worked long hours into the night until he, and I, were satisfied.
I hope the text will be easier to read, the photos better displayed and the Home page will give you lots more options – do please give me your feedback.
I set up the original website 18 months ago but really only got into my Blogging stride a year ago.The last year has had its difficulties – my old laptop has started to overheat and only works in 20 minute bursts, but a brand new Mac awaits me. My great gardening influence, my father, passed away on 1st May after a long and good life; I was touched by the response when I returned to my “typewriter” again. Many of you have been regular and faithful readers for much of that time.
In a spirit of refection, I thought I’d just choose a few of my favourite posts from last year .. just in case you missed them! And of course they’ll look much better displayed now; just click on the titles.
Ireland’s most romantic garden
As always, I love to get your Comments, however brief.

Looks good! I especially like the typeface and clean lay out. I know it can be nerve-wracking changing a site’s appearance, but you came through it very well. Cheers!

I’m really pleased too that you like the logo and site. I was aiming for something cleaner, clearer, more contemporary but something to showcase the photos better .. glad you feel we’ve achieved that.
