Gardening has been a lifelong passion in all its forms: plants, colour, design, harmony, and balance; from creating a city oasis of calm to taming an overgrown historic garden, from overhauling a suburban front garden to creating a large country garden from a field. An abiding principle is to create a garden in harmony with its surroundings.

Skills honed over years of gardening have been supplemented by RHS and KLC qualifications in Horticulture and Design, among others. Time spent as an archaeologist in South Africa gave me a love of its native flora and an appreciation of its habitat, a notion I keep in mind when placing plants in a garden.

Having lived too in France, Belgium, and England, I like to bring best design practice to my gardens. I admire the restrained, contemporary look of Belgian and Dutch gardens, the formality and structure of French gardens, and the sublime plantsmanship of the English garden.

I place the utmost importance in my work to listening to what my clients want from their gardens and helping them realise their aspirations in a professional and friendly manner. I love to be in a well-planned garden and I want you to feel the same way about yours.
